Check out our top 3 beaches in the south of Ibiza and some restaurant recommendations too!
Ses Salines
This beautiful 1.5km long beach with clear, shallow water is one of the most popular spots on the island. With plenty to attract you to it, it’s right in the centre of a Nature Reserve, surrounded by juniper and pine trees, lots of history & some fantastic walks too. You could spend a whole day here, looking at the amazing yachts floating a little away from the beach, checking out all three bars and if you’re lucky you might even catch sight of some flamingos. They’re usually here between August and October. Proving that Ibiza isn’t just a vacation spot for humans.
As mentioned above there are three great spots along the beach to stop at for a bite to eat or a cocktail and we’d recommend stopping at them all. Our favourite of the three is Sa Trinxa though, it’s got a hippie charm to it, paired with great music and a simple but delicious menu.

Cala d’Hort
We couldn’t do a list of beaches without including Cala d’Hort. This little paradise overlooks the third most magnetic point on earth. One of the most magical views in Ibiza is the sun setting behind Es Vedra and lots of us expats claim that it’s the magnetic pull of Es Vedra itself that kept calling us back.. until we just decided to give in and stay. The left of Cala d’Hort beach is great for sunbathing on the soft sand, the right is very pebbly and better for a little explore rather than a relax. Choose your spot wisely 😉
While here we would recommend checking out Es Boldado, on the cliff edge with fantastic views of Es Vedra and Es Vedranell, this restaurant serves traditional Mediterranean cuisine and delicious wines.
Cala Jondal
Well known for its pebbled shores that sound incredible as the waves lap and its trendy beach clubs, this is one of our fave days out (pre-baby, haha). Choose between Tropicana with its Brazilian shows and salsa dancing or the well known and loved Blue Marlin featuring international DJs and copious amounts of champagne. It’s easy to see once you’re here why this spot is such a draw to tourists and locals. It’s a little bit of Ibiza magic.
While you’re here you HAVE to go try Casa Jondal, it’s quite expensive but worth every penny. Our favourite things from here are the Caesar salad (the best on the island by far) and the fresh oysters but the whole menu is fantastic.
