As we all know, you’re here for a great time, not a long time… So we’re keeping it super simple and breaking down the island into areas, this blog covers the north of Ibiza. Listing our 3 favourite beaches and a corresponding lunch spot for each beach too, you’re welcome!
Cala San Vicente
Located in the North-East of the island, this beautiful beach stretches about 400m long meaning you won’t have any trouble finding a quiet spot to lie and enjoy some sunshine. Tucked in between hills and sheltered from the wind with dreamy, calm blue waters it’s a great spot to snorkel or take advantage of some of the water sport options.
On to the good stuff, one of our favourite spots in Ibiza to eat, The Boathouse. With an extensive menu, lots of veggie options, a full kcomplement of cocktails to choose from and the most amazing setting (you guessed it, it’s like being aboard a smugglers boat!) Renowned for its quirkiness and delicious food, you HAVE to stop by for lunch, which usually turns to cocktails and maybe you’ll stick around for dinner too. We’re not judging.
Portinatx
So we kind of cheated here, this is an area of 3 beaches, S’Arenal Gros, S’Arenal Petit and Playa Porto. But, if you can spend the whole day there and explore them all, you really won’t be disappointed. There’s something for everyone with rocky shores & lots of sand. Located in the north of Ibiza, this collection of beaches is probably one of our best kept secrets – frequented mainly by locals and nearby hotel guests. A great spot in August when the other beaches are at capacity, these ones are usually still fairly tranquillo.
While in this area, we recommend checking out Los Enamorados. With a beach bar, restaurant, shop & massages available it’s the perfect spot and have a little relax. The food menu hosts a wide range of things from tapas to burgers to salads, all done to perfection. Something for everyone!

Puerto de San Miguel
What once was a sleepy, fishing village is now a calm and tranquil beach resort. In the far north of Ibiza, set between cliff edges and pine trees, you will find this picturesque beach with shallow waters. Perfect for families, but not to say it won’t appeal to others, with plenty to do and see. You can tour the Can Marca stalactite caves, take a trip with the dive school or simply float around in the crystal clear sea.
If beautifully cooked and locally caught fish is your thing, you have to try Restaurant Port Balansat. Showcasing the most traditional and delicious menu including Ibizan fish stews, perfect paella’s and fresh oysters. Our favourite dish is
